If this tax progression is removed, the poor suffer and the rich gain, both unproportionally. Progressive taxation was created to alleviate this clear discrepancy. The armless guy makes $36k/yr by sucking the other two at the island corner, leaving him $3800 a year or 10.5% of his incum after taxes and basic necessities.
